It is universally acknowledged that the United Nation's climate change summit in Copenhagen, but meanwhile, I believe that there is no binding deal will get off the ground. Some people proclaim that the disparity between the industrialised and developing nations is threating the formulation of the agreement, nevertheless, to my mind, the reason of the confrontation is for the sake of their own advantage.
US and EU intended to reduce the expenditure in the supporting fund, G77 asked for at least $65 bn aid, China also demanded some financial aid to improve the green energy.
Although Hillary Clinton promised US would contribute $100 bn a year in a long-term financing to help poor nations adapt to climate change. But this promise came with conditions, all nations must agree to some form of verification. And China already claimed that China oppose any intrusive international monitoring regime.
More importantly, I don't believe the aid bill can pass through the Senate.
In brief, as far as I am concerned, there would be no deal in the summit. Furthermore, no one can assure the executing, even though there is a deal.
