Can you make real friends in work places?

Sometimes, I will count how many friends I have made but just disappointed to find that all my good friends were made during school days. Those friends are scattered all over China. We don't contact with each other often but when we encounter after a long time, we still have a lot of topics and could make each other feel at home.
I did made friends in working places. Occasionally we will also go out for a feast or shopping or travelling. But once some one quits the job, most probably we will never contact again and forget each other. It seems that we make friends just because we need to do so in this certain circle. Once one person is out of this circle, then all over.
What's your opinion about it?

I agree with u. I make my real friends at school. Even though we didn't contact with each other everyday, but we still have many topics when we chat. So I think may be this is what a real friend is.

there is no  really friends in the workplace~at least in the same office~everyone thinks about themselves and measure relationship just start from the benefit~it doesnt say that you cant make good friends, but it really needs time and you must pull your heart in it~that's our life, give first then you can get~

moi aussi to writter, be an opinionator, we can get sincerely friends in the workplace, more or less, Pay much attention to yourself, your psycholgical behavior and constant habit may affect people around you, how many friends you made is how do you think of defination to friends sincere or insincere.
