It's not a good way, but it's a must. In any cases, parents should pay much attention to their children especially related with online games. Parents can play a role as supervisor by limiting  the time online and persuading through reverse examples, but not ignore them. It's effective on some children who understand parents. To those who rebel their parents, find out the root cause of problems. I know some children rebel parents just because their parents don't care about their life and study in the most time. So no matter the way is effective or not, have a try, as there is not better way found.
