大学英语作文模板: A Firm Belief Does Matter Much!
Imagine life as a game in which we are juggling five balls. We name them: work, family, health, friends and spirit. For many people, it looks as if only the achievements or the money they made in their career could bring happiness to them, which makes me link them to anxious social climbers. However, we should realize that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the others are made of glass, if you drop one of these, it will be irrevocable nicked or even shattered. So it seems to me to link a happy life with an abundance lifestyle.
Abundance doesn’t always require money. Many people live with all that money can buy yet live empty inside. Abundance begins inside with some main self-ingredients, like love, care, kindness and gentleness, thoughtfulness and compassion.
In my humble opinion, maybe the following factors can lead us to the road of “abundance”, and therefore help us get the a happy life we want.
Initially, I imagine that belief is really something that we can not live without because belief can help us go through difficult times. We can not expect an obstacle-free path to our destinations. In the course of our life, there will be difficulties or even times when we think it would be impossible for us to move forward. This kind of situation would be confronted by a businessman whose ideas cannot be accepted by the market, or a researcher whose experiment gets stuck. And the list can really go on and on, and we can all relate to one of the pictures presented at some point. But if we have a strong belief in heart to support us, to guide us, we will finally get out of the darkness, and use the strong motivational power to reach our goal at last.
We also have to face many occasions when we have reached a goal, and we are stuck in the feeling of being lost. If life is always a pursuit of the next goal, what will happen when we have finished all the goals we have?
This would happen to a successful businessman who seems to have possessed everything he dreamed of, and this would also be the case of all those people who fail to find their own passions and instead just move around as they are told. And what we need to fill in the blank is simply belief.
Then, I insist that we must learn to give. Jesus told us that” it is more blessed to give than to receive”. First of all, giving is one of the most valuable ways to establish interpersonal relationship. Suppose that if we just focus on what we take and give nothing, our relationship with others will become apathetic and none of our families or friends will feel a thread of warmth from us; while if we extend our hands and our favor to those who badly need it, we will win the respect from others through our kindness. Thus when we fall into difficulty one day, others will surely spare no efforts to help us through.
Secondly, giving is a kind of good deed and can make our lives more meaningful, through which we can deeply sense the true value of our life. Giving sometimes are tiny things that may cost nothing. For example, give a smile to our classmates or workmates every day; give a hand when someone is in trouble; help the blind cross the street. All of these are vey tiny things for us to do, but for the people who receive our giving, they are wonderful gifts from the heaven.
Finally, we should tend to be satisfied easily. Just as a famous Chinese proverb says, “A contended mind is a perpetual feast.” For one thing, excessive dissatisfaction will lead to lack of confidence and too much pressure, which will turn our life into a failure and drive us far away from our ideal life. Everyone should have a goal in life, but the goal should be properly chosen to make sure that one can fulfill it without too much difficulty. If a student fails in the math test this time, it is impractical to expect a full mark next time. If we set a goal which is beyond our ability, we will feel disappointed at our self every day or even begin to doubt our own ability.
For another, too much dissatisfaction with society will have a bad influence on one’s development, and what’s more, will impact the social harmony. For example, being over strict with our partner’s performance, we may destroy the possible cooperation. Expecting to enjoy the same welfare with the people in developed countries, people in a developing country may blame their own country, resulting in instability of the society.
Based on the above,a happy life to me has noting to do with how much money you make, how luxurious your house is, or what kind of job you do. It’s closely tied with a delighted mental state and a positive attitude. A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery while on a detour.
