One day, it was time for lunch. Mr and Ms Whitewere already at the table, but where was Tom theironly son. Mr White decided to go and asked Tom tohave lunch. When he went into Tom's bedroom, hefound Tom reading a book while lying on thestomach on the floor. He told Tom to come to lunchimmediately, so Tom did. Mr White wondered whyTom was so attractted by the book? So he decided tohave a look at the book. Now, it was the turnof Ms White and Tom to wait. After sometime, MsWhite asked son to see what his father was up to. Tom went tohis bedroom. To his greatsurprise, his father was lying on the stomach and reading the book. He is just being reading.Mr. White had forgotten all about for lunch , what is an interesting book.

某天吃中饭时，怀特夫妇在餐桌上等待着他们的儿子汤姆，但是汤姆去了哪里。怀特先生决定去叫汤姆吃午饭。当他进到汤姆的房间时，他发现汤姆正在倒躺着读书。他叫汤姆马上来吃饭，汤姆去了。怀特先生不知道什么书能够这么吸引汤姆的兴趣?他决定看一眼那本书。现在，华特女士和汤姆正在等待怀特先生吃饭。一会，怀特女士让汤姆去问问爸爸正在干嘛。汤姆去了他的卧室。让他惊讶的是，他的父亲也正倒躺着读书。他正在读书。怀特先生已经忘了吃中饭这回事，多么有趣的书啊。
