在托福考试中，尤其是口语和写作部分，经常会考到如Do you prefer to live in the rural area or big cities?这类讨论住宿的题目。今天我们就来整理一下与“住”有关的表达，一方面有利于考生们准备托福考试，另一方面也是对于国外留学生活的预热。
第一，各种住宿场所Types of Accommodation
大型旅馆：一般而言，hotel的住宿费用(room charge)比较高，从经济型每晚70美元到五星级每晚200多美元不等，完全看个人的预算及喜好而定。
中小型旅馆：原则上属于中等价位，但也有一些地方打着Inn的招牌，但里头却装潢得美轮美奂，不下于一般的hotel，所费当然不菲喽!
郊外度假旅馆(lodge)：多半位于风景区，费用也不会太低。
汽车旅馆(Motel)：专供开车旅游的人投宿，多半位于公路旁边，设备较差又欠缺管理，住宿费用不会太高。
青年旅社(youth hostel)：收费低廉，许多国家都提供这样的住宿场所。

Ruby: Oh, the room number is 666 and here is the key.
Cashier: Thank you. Did you enjoy your stay with us here?
Ruby: Very much. The room was comfy and the service was great.
Cashier: Thank you. Our pleasure. Here is your check. The total is three hundred and forty-five dollars, tax included. How would you like to pay?
