once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: happiness, sadness, knowledge, and all of the others, including love. one day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. except for love.
love was the only one who stayed. love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.
when the island had almost sunk, love decided to ask for help.
richness was passing by love in a grand boat. love said,
"richness, can you take me with you?"
richness answered, "no, i can't. there is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. there is no place here for you."
love decided to ask vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "vanity, please help me!"
"i can't help you, love. you are all wet and might damage my boat," vanity answered.
sadness was close by so love asked, "sadness, let me go with you."
"oh . . . love, i am so sad that i need to be by myself!"
happiness passed by love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when love called her.
suddenly, there was a voice, "come, love, i will take you." it was an elder. so blessed and overjoyed, love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. when they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. realizing how much was owed the elder, love asked knowledge, another elder, "who helped me?"
"it was time," knowledge answered.
"time?" asked love. "but why did time help me?"

在从前，有个小岛上住着各种各样的情感：有幸福，悲伤，聪慧，还有其他各种情感，还有爱情。有一天，他们被告知小岛即将沉没，大家伙都纷纷建造小船纷纷离去。只有爱情对此不是很“感冒”。

爱情打算向驾着漂亮的船儿同时也路过这里的虚荣求救。“虚荣，请你帮帮我吧。”
虚荣回道：“我可帮不到你的忙，”“可你浑身湿碌碌的，说不定会弄坏我的船呢。”
悲伤路过爱情的身边，于是爱情乞求道：“悲伤，带我一起离开这里吧。”
“哦...，爱情，我太伤感了，我只想自己一个人呆着。”
快乐也路过爱情这里，但是她太兴奋了以至于她根本没有注意听到爱情的哀求声。
就在这个时候，突然耳边响起了声音，“过来吧，爱情，我带你来离开这里。”这声音是为长者的。由于爱情终于能离开这里而太愉快而且太欣喜过望，以至于他连问长者他们一快将驶向哪里都没有提及。当他们一行到了干涸的土地上后，长者径直离开了。爱情意识到自己亏欠了这位长者太多后，他开口向另一位被称为智慧的长者问道：“那为帮我的人是谁呢？”
