  Nevertheless, the reasons those objectors hold are also reasonable. First of all,secondary students have already been under the great pressure of study, adding the international news to their curriculum may result in greater pressure. In addition, if students have to spend particular time on this, the time they spend on other important subjects will be less than before. That is why some people think it is a waste of time for secondary students to study international news.

  In view of the requirements of social development and competition in the future, I think it is quite necessary to add the subject of international news in secondary school. However, the secondary school should also pay much attention to the course arrangement and study objectives setting so as not to decrease students' activeness or affect the study of other important subjects.
