8月27日雅思考试写作范文一枚:关于城市用地
some people think it is more important to plant trees in open areas in towns and cities than to provide more housing. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
分析:此次考察的话题是城市用地问题,其实呢就是政府的经费分配问题,涉及到的矛盾上方是环境和楼房建造。对于这种类型的题目,一般采取中立观点比较好写。

范文参考:
With the expansion of urbanization, the utilization of city land has been a spot issue. It is argued that more open areas are more suitable to be distributed to vegetation, but others hold different opinion, reckoning that it should be occupied with buildings. In my view, the balance between these two sides is needed.
Undoubtedly, more green would beautify our living environment thus making it more comfortable to dwell in. As well as the city decoration, trees are useful to absorb dust from the transportation such as waste gas emitted from vehicles. Their function of breathing out oxygen and breathing in carbon dioxide would dramatically alleviate greenhouse gas problems. So all these factors contribute to the protection of ecosystem and people's health. Providing people with more pedestrian areas is another benefit. Due to this, walk would be more possible in the urban cities.
However, reaching the conclusion that trees are conductive for a city does not mean that constructions are not important. Adequate residential districts ease the intense situation of high housing price while multi-story buildings in city's business district give a facility to the accommodation of large number of working people. But concrete jungles would be the last thing citizens want to see, which isolates human beings from the nature, so it is justified of the government to strike a balance housing and planting expansion.
In conclusion, planting trees and construction more buildings are not mutually exclusive, it is the combination of the two that offers a more functional city for people to live in.(256)
