In the largest national-level inspection on record, more than two dozen cities in North China will face a strict one-year inspection over air pollution prevention and control, the Ministry of Environmental Protection announced Wednesday.
环保部5日宣布，华北地区20余城将接受为期一年的大气污染防治强化督查，这是有史以来国家层面的最大规模环保督查行动。
环保部5日宣布，将对京津冀及周边传输通道"2+26"城市开展为期一年的大气污染防治强化督查(a strict one-year inspection over air pollution prevention and control)。环保部将从全国抽调5600名环境执法人员开展督查。强化督查主要包括：相关地方各级政府及有关部门落实大气污染防治任务情况(implementation of air pollution prevention and control targets)、固定污染源(stationary pollution source)环保设施运行及达标排放(up-to-standard discharge)情况、"散乱污"企业排查、取缔(closure)情况，错峰生产企业停产(halt production)、限产措施执行情况，涉挥发性有机污染物(volatile organic compounds, VOCs)企业治理设施安装运行(installation and operation)情况等。
➤环保部要求，对地方党委、政府和有关部门大气污染防治责任落实情况开展"系统化"督查("systematic" inspections)，始终保持高压(high pressure)态势;要保证督查质量，对存在环境违法问题的企业(单位)绝不姑息(zero tolerance)，依法予以处罚。
