8：1 你用口吹角吧。敌人如鹰来攻打耶和华的家，因为这民违背我的约，干犯我的律法。
Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD， because they have transgressed my covenant， and trespassed against my law.
8：2 他们必呼叫我说，我的神阿，我们以色列认识你了。
Israel shall cry unto me， My God， we know thee.
8：3 以色列丢弃良善（或作福分），仇敌必追逼他。
Israel hath cast off the thing that is good： the enemy shall pursue him.
8：4 他们立君王，却不由我，他们立首领，我却不认。他们用金银为自己制造偶像，以致被剪除。
They have set up kings， but not by me： they have made princes， and I knew it not： of their silver and their gold have they made them idols， that they may be cut off.
8：5 撒玛利亚阿，耶和华已经丢弃你的牛犊。我的怒气向拜牛犊的人发作。他们到几时方能无罪呢。
Thy calf， O Samaria， hath cast thee off； mine anger is kindled against them： how long will it be ere they attain to innocency？
8：6 这牛犊出于以色列，是匠人所造的，并不是神。撒玛利亚的牛犊必被打碎。
For from Israel was it also： the workman made it； therefore it is not God： but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
8：7 他们所种的是风，所收的是暴风，所种的不成禾稼，就是发苗也不结实。即便结实，外邦人必吞吃。
For they have sown the wind， and they shall reap the whirlwind： it hath no stalk： the bud shall yield no meal： if so be it yield， the strangers shall swallow it up.
8：8 以色列被吞吃，现今在列国中，好像人不喜悦的器皿。
Israel is swallowed up： now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
8：9 他们投奔亚述，如同独行的野驴。以法莲贿买朋党。
For they are gone up to Assyria， a wild ass alone by himself： Ephraim hath hired lovers.
8：10 他们虽在列邦中贿买人，现在我却要聚集惩罚他们。他们因君王和首领所加的重担，日渐衰微。
Yea， though they have hired among the nations， now will I gather them， and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
8：11 以法莲增添祭坛取罪，因此，祭坛使他犯罪。
Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin， altars shall be unto him to sin.
8：12 我为他写了律法万条，他却以为与他毫无关涉。
I have written to him the great things of my law， but they were counted as a strange thing.
8：13 至于献给我的祭物，他们自食其肉，耶和华却不悦纳他们。现在必记念他们的罪孽，追讨他们的罪恶，他们必归回埃及。
They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings， and eat it； but the LORD accepteth them not； now will he remember their iniquity， and visit their sins： they shall return to Egypt.
8：14 以色列忘记造他的主，建造宫殿。犹大多造坚固城，我却要降火焚烧他的城邑，烧灭其中的宫殿。
For Israel hath forgotten his Maker， and buildeth temples； and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities： but I will send a fire upon his cities， and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
