圣经故事(15):The Temptation by Satan
Jesus was then led away by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil.
For forty days and nights he fasted, and at the end of them he was famished. The tempter approached him and said, ‘If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.'Jesus answered,'scripture says, “Man cannot live on bread alone； he lives on every word that God utters.”'
The devil then took him to the Holy City and set him on the parapet of the temple. ‘If you are the Son of God,' he said, 'throw yourself down； for Scripture says,“He will put his angels in charge of you, and they will support you in their arms, for fear you should strike your foot against a stone.”'Jesus answered him,'Scripture says again,“You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.”'
Once again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in their glory. ‘All these',he said,'I will give you, if you ,will only fall down and do me homage.' But Jesus said, 'Begone, Satan！ Scripture says, “You shall do homage to the Lord your God and worship him alone.”'
Then the devil left him；and angels appeared and waited on him.
撒旦试探
耶稣被圣灵引到旷野，接受魔鬼撒旦的试探。
他四十昼夜斋戒禁食，感到饥饿难耐。魔鬼走近他，说道：“你若是圣子，就可叫这些石头变成食物。”耶稣答道：“经书上讲‘人活着不是光靠食物，而是要靠上帝讲的每句话。'”
魔鬼就把他带到圣城，让他站在圣殿顶上，说：“你若是圣子，就跳下去，因为经书上讲‘主会吩咐他的使者用手托着你，免得你的脚碰到石头上。'”耶稣答道：“可经书上还讲'不可试探你的上帝天主。'”
魔鬼又把他带上了一座高山，把世上所有繁荣昌盛的国家指给他看，并说：“如果你肯向我拜服在地，我就把这一切全都赐给你。”但耶稣却说：“去吧，撒旦！经书上讲‘你要敬拜你的天主上帝，而且只是崇拜他。'”
于是魔鬼便离耶稣而去；而主的众使者就出来侍候他。
