Come down quietly
Teddy came thundering down the stairs. That made his father very angry.
"Teddy！" he yelled. "How many times have I got to tell you to come down the stairs quietly？ Now, go back up and come down like a civilized human being."
There was a silence, and Teddy reappeared in the front room.
"That's better," said his father. "Now will you always come down stairs like that？"
"Suits me," said Teddy. "I slid down the banister."
Teddy下楼的时候弄得震天响,这让他爸爸非常生气。
他叫住Teddy:“Teddy,我和你说了多少遍下楼梯时要安静？现在回去楼上,像一个文明人那样下一遍楼。”
这次Teddy没弄出什么声响就下了楼,来到了客厅。
他爸爸说:“这还不错。你能不能每次都这样下楼？”
“正合我的口味,”Teddy回答到。“我是从楼梯扶手上滑下来的。”
A New Baby
Little Johnny's new baby brother was crying loudly. Johnny asked his mom, "Where did we get him？"
His mother replied, "He came from heaven, Johnny."
Johnny says, "WOW！ I can see why they threw him out！"
小Johnny刚出生没多久的弟弟哭得非常响。Johnny问他的妈妈:“他是从哪儿来的？”
妈妈回答到::“他是从天堂来的,Johnny.”
Johnny说到:“哇！我知道他们为什么要把他扔出来了！”
