Looking for the Seal
When Judie and her mother returned from the grocery store, she pulled out a box of animal crackers. Then she spread the animal-shaped crackers all over the kitchen counter.
"What are you doing?" her mom asked. "The box says you can't eat them if the seal is broken," Judie explained. "I'm looking for the seal."
The Baby-Sitter
A single mother needed to go out one day. She found a young man named John to baby-sit her kids. At bedtime he sent the kids upstairs to bed. Then he went down to watch football.
One child kept creeping down the stairs, but the young man kept sending him back to bed.
At 9 p.m. the doorbell rang, it was the next-door neighbor, Mrs. Brown. She asked whether her son was there. John replied, "No."
Just then a little head appeared over the stairs and shouted, "I'm here, Mom. But he won't let me go home!"
