No Sale
"Is your mother home？" the salesman asked a small boy.
"Yeah, she's home," the boy said, walking past him.
The salesman rang the doorbell and got no response. He knocked once, then once again. Still no one came to the door. Turning to the boy, the salesman said, "I thought you said your mother was home！？"
The boy replied, "She is； but this isn't where I live."
推销员问一个小男孩:“你妈妈在家吗？”
“在,她在家。”小男孩回答到,走过推销员身边。
推销员按了一下门铃,没有人应门。他又敲了敲门,还是没有人应。推销员转过身来问这个男孩:“我想你刚才说你妈妈在家的！”
男孩回答到:“她是在家。但是这里不是我家。”
Two Places
Jenny: "If you broke your arm in two places, what would you do？“
Bob: "I wouldn't go back to those two places, that's for sure."
Jenny:“要是你的胳膊摔断了两处,你会怎么办？”
Bob:“我不会再去那两个地方了,这是一定的。”
注:Jenny的本意是“胳膊摔断了两处”,但Bob理解成“在两个不同的地方摔断”了。
