Down on the farm, Mom told Dad to fix the outhouse. Dad took a look at the shitter and returned to Mom.
某一农场上，老妈要老爸去修理茅房。老爸只瞧了茅房一眼就回来了。
“There ain’t nothin’ wrong with that shithouse, Mom.”
“那个茅房什么问题也没有啊，孩子的娘。”
Mom took Dad back to the outhouse and stuck his head down in the hole.
老妈将老爸带回茅房，把他的头塞进茅坑当中。
“Hey,” said Dad, “my beard is stuck!”
“嘿！”老爸说道“，我的胡子粘住了！”
“Aggravatin’, ain’t it?”
“问题严重了，是不是呢？”
英语知识点解说：
1.fix vt. 修理；固定
fix a machine 修理机器
=repair a machine
fix one's eyes on... 目不转睛地盯着……看
例：What's the matter with Tom? He's had his eyes fixed on the ceiling for the last twenty minutes.
（汤姆到底是怎么一回事？他眼睛一直盯着天花板，足足有廿分钟之久。）
2.outhouse 茅（=shitter）
3.beard n. 胡须
4.stick vt. 刺；戳；困住；使进退两难
三态为：stick, stuck, stuck。
get stuck 卡住；动弹不得
例：The window got stuck. （窗户卡住了。）
西方人有的喜欢留一大把胡子，又多又长，所以会卡在茅坑里。
本文中连妈妈上厕所也有问题（可不是胡子问题），可见茅坑一定
是太满了，需要请水肥公司来处理了。
5.aggravating a. 恶化的
aggravate vt. 使恶化；烦扰
例：If you don't quit aggravating me, I'm going to squash you like a bug.
（如果你再继续烦我的话，我将把你像虫一样压得扁扁的。）
6.Aggravatin' ain't it?
正确说法应为 It's aggravating, isn't it?（情况不断在恶化，是不是？）
