小故事背诵达人第8篇:Died Fish
单元 8 死鱼
Little Tim was in the garden filling in a hole when his neighbor peered over the fence.
小提姆在花园里用土填着洞，邻居在栅栏外盯着他看。
Interested in what the cheeky-faced youngster was up to, he politely asked, "What are you up to there, Tim?"
邻居很想知道这个厚脸皮的小孩在干吗，便客气地问道：“你在那里忙什么呢？提姆？”
"My goldfish died," replied Tim tearfully ,without looking up, "and I've just buried him."
“我的金鱼死了，提姆连头都没抬，”泪眼汪汪地回答：“我刚把它给埋了。”
The neighbor was concerned , "That's an awfully big hole for a goldfish, isn't it?"
邻居有点担心地问道：“埋一条金鱼不需要挖那么大的洞，不是吗？”
Tim patted down the last heap of earth then replied, "That's because he's inside your cat."
提姆轻拍着最后填上的那堆土，回答道：“那是因为金鱼在你那只猫的肚子里。”
