A member of the House of Commons got up in a debateand said that Winston Churchill was evidently suffering fromberiberi,as a sign of that disease was a swollen head.
Afterwards Churchill corrected the member and said thatswollen feet,not head,were the sign.
“That makes no difference,” was the reply.“All I meantto convey was that you were too big for your boots.”
