A Illinois man left the snow-filled streets of Chicago for a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick e-mail.
Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written her e-mail address, he did his best to type it in from memory. Unfortunately, he missed one letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher’s wife whose husband had passed away only the day before.
When the grieving widow checked her e-mail, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream, and fell to the floor in a dead faint. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:
DEAREAST WIFE: JUST GOT CHECKED IN. EVERYTHING PREPARED FOR YOUR ARRIVAL TOMORROW.
P.S.SURE IS HOT DOWN HERE.
一个伊利诺伊人离开芝加哥大雪覆盖的街区，到佛罗里达去度假。他太太在出差，准备第二天到那儿跟他会合。他到了旅馆，决定立刻给太太发个电子邮件。
他找不到写着太太邮箱地址的那张纸条，就凭记忆尽量填了个地址。可惜，他错了个字母，邮件转发给了一位老教士的妻子，老教士头天刚过世。
这位悲伤的寡妇查看电子邮箱时，对着显示器扫了一眼，发出一声刺耳的尖叫，就倒在地上昏死过去。听到声音，她的家人冲进房间，看到屏幕上有这样一封短信：
亲爱的太太：我已入住，已为你明日到来备妥诸事。
又及：到这儿确实温暖。
